The pope made some of his strongest comments against gay marriage in a new year address to the diplomatic corps accredited to the Vatican in which he touched on some economic and social issues facing the world today.
He told diplomats from nearly 180 countries that the education of children needed proper "settings" and that "pride of place goes to the family, based on the marriage of a man and a woman."
"This is not a simple social convention, but rather the fundamental cell of every society. Consequently, policies which undermine the family threaten human dignity and the future of humanity itself," he said. And where does the pope think gay people come from? They come from families.
Homosexuality has been around a lot longer than Christianity and so far, we've not gone extinct. In fact, we face extinction more from planet-killer asteroids, environmental degradation, or global pandemics, yet teh gay threatens humanity's future?
Does this bigot suppose that everyone on earth will suddenly go gay and stop having babies? What about childless hetero-sexual couples, do they, in this bigot's mind pose a threat to humanity too? (You bet not.)
You can now add human extinction to the list of magic powers that gays are supposed to possess.
Behold the power of teh gay!
